Feeling trust & safety in the body isn’t easy after a lifetime of holding everything together.

In a material sense, I grew up very privileged, but I also felt a deep loneliness. We didn’t talk about feelings in our family; there was no physical affection and there was no emotional warmth. On the outside, I had it all; but on the inside, I had a big hole in my heart.

I coped with this feeling in two ways. I became strong, fiercely independent and ‘put together’. I stayed busy, achieving, supporting everyone around me and always smiling. The other way was by trying to control it with an eating disorder, alcohol and a brutal inner critic.

On the verge of utter self-destruction, and in a very Eat Pray Love kind of way, I quit my corporate job and went to live in an ashram in India at the age of 22.

There, I meditated, ate healthy food, did yoga, journaled, received energy healing treatments and attended spiritual talks. I rebuilt my physical health and developed mental discipline. I also reconnected with my intuition.

But despite all the green juice, breathing techniques, yoga classes, and spiritual practices, I realized the emptiness in my heart wasn’t going away. I struggled with boundaries, insecurity and a persistent feeling of not being enough. I had learned how to nourish my body, but not how to feel safe inside it.

Over the years I explored many healing modalities-energy work, bodywork, ancestral healing, akashic records and breathwork. Each path offered valuable insight and understanding, but the deeper patterns remained.

I eventually realized something humbling.

Even my healing journey had become another form of coping.

I kept searching for the next method, the next breakthrough. My nervous system was still organized around trying harder, and fixing myself. The same coping pattern that shaped my life — over-extension — was now shaping my healing. The more I tried to fix myself, the more disconnected I felt.

What I was missing wasn’t more information or tools.

It was safety.

Everything began to shift when I discovered somatic therapy and nervous system work.

It brought me to my body.

I learned to listen to sensation, instead of overriding it. I began to build the capacity to stay with myself and to feel what I had spent years avoiding.I began to understand how my nervous system had learned to survive through constant doing and self-reliance because it had never experienced the safety of being held in connection.

Instead of trying to fix myself, I began learning how to be with myself.

And that changed everything.

What I came to understand is this:

You can develop extraordinary self-awareness and spend years in personal development & talk therapy, and still find yourself overriding your inner guidance, overextending and repeating the same relational patterns. Not because you don’t understand, but because your body doesn’t feel safe enough to choose differently.

And until it does, it will return to what feels familiar, even when it no longer serves you.

When I discovered somatic therapy, I discovered a new way to relate to myself that helped me grow the roots of self-belonging.

This is what led me to train in somatic therapy, which now forms the foundation of my work.

I blend somatic therapy, nervous system education, movement, inner child work, nature & creative expression to help you reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more honest way.

Together, we create a space where your nervous system can begin to soften, and where the parts of you that learned to hide or carry everything alone no longer have to.

As your body begins to feel safer, your inner world becomes more spacious and more resourced. And your outer life begins to change too:

  • There is less overthinking and more clarity

  • There is more ease and less tension and anxiety

  • There is more capacity to feel without becoming overwhelmed

  • Connection feels more mutual - you stop over-giving or performing to belong

And in the quiet moments:

  • You can sit still without restlessness.

  • You can be with someone you love and feel present, not slightly removed.

  • You can move through your day with more space and less urgency.

  • You notice the small things—the warmth of the sun, the taste of your food, the feeling of being here.

  • You can be with the full range of your experience—not just what’s comfortable, but what’s true.

And from that place, life becomes more textured. More honest. Not perfect—but more deeply lived.

My own journey continues — and I believe it always will.

In a world that constantly pulls us outward into doing and performing, learning to listen inward and build trust from the inside out, may be one of the most important, quiet acts of courage of our time.

That is what I want for you.

To trust your body again and experience a life that feels more spacious, connected, nourished and fully your own.
